Essential Oils for Autumn

Fall Aromas

Autumn is the season for sweaters and hot teas, crisp mornings with beautiful sunny afternoons, going apple picking, and carving pumpkins. Just like decorating for fall holidays, essential oils can be used as diffusions, room mists, or even body oils to help build the autumn ambiance around your home.

Fruit and spice essential oils are the ultimate fall vibe- think the aroma of mulled cider wafting through your home, or an apple orchard warmed by the sun.  Coniferous and resinous essential oils are also perfect for chilly fall evenings, especially as we transition closer to the winter months.

Fun Aromatherapy Tips for Fall!

  • Decorating for the fall season? Add a few drops of cassia (cinnamon), fresh ginger or juniper essential oil to your pine cones, wreaths, or other decorations
  • Having guests? Build a cozy fall atmosphere in your home that everyone will be sure to remember by making homemade potpourri! Combine dried apples, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, and cloves in a decorative bowl, and add a few drops each of bergamot, sweet orange, nutmeg, and vanilla essential oils
  • Missing the morning sun? Make a mist with 10 drops of rosemary, 10 drops of bergamot, and 4 drops of lime to help you get going during the cooler, autumn mornings
