Ingredients
- 1 fl. oz. Aura Cacia Lavender Essential Oil
- 2 1/2 lbs. Melt-and-Pour Soap Base
- 9x9 Nonstick Cake Pan, greased
- Wax Paper
- Tape
- Silicon Spatula
- Kitchen Scale (oz.)
- Double Boiler
Directions
- Spray and line a nonstick baking pan with wax paper, folding excess wax paper over the rim. Tape edges and set aside.
- In a double boiler over simmering water, heat soap base on low until melted. Remove from heat.
- Stir until well-combined and cool enough that a "trace" develops when you lift spoon. Add essential oil and stir again until combined.
- Pour soap base mixture in baking pan and allow it to set. Once firm, remove soap from pan and cut into pieces. Let sit for 3 days before using.
- For a decorative touch, sprinkle surface of soap with dried lavender flowers directly after pouring into baking pan.
