American Herbal Products Association
(AHPA) is the national trade association and voice of the herbal products industry. AHPA's mission is to promote the responsible commerce of herbal products. Founded in 1983, AHPA is the recognized leader in representing the responsible center of the botanical trade, and is comprised of the finest growers, processors, manufacturers and marketers of herbal products. 100% of AHPA's resources are dedicated to furthering the responsible sale and use of herbs and herbal products through AHPA's expertise and experience.
Bulk Is Green Council is an organization dedicated to helping consumers, food makers and grocers learn about the many environmental and economic benefits of bulk foods.
Camp Courageous of Iowa was founded in 1972 and was built with the belief that all people, regardless of ability level should experience year-round recreational and respite care activities in a camp setting. The camp provides opportunities for social and personal growth within a supportive, safe environment to any person with a disability. Campers learn to try a variety of creative and challenging activities and experience success. Campers develop enhanced self-esteem which carries over to work, home, or school environments. The camp is open year-round, has 80 acres of land with 14 buildings, and annually serves nearly 5,000 campers, ranging in age from 1 to 100.
Co-op Grocers Information Network has as their mission to strengthen retail food cooperatives by providing a vehicle that facilitates the sharing of resources amongst its members. CGIN acts as vehicle for exchange of ideas and information among retails co-ops.

North Country Development Fund is a cooperatively owned and operated financial intermediary that acts as a catalyst for the growth and development of cooperatives. Founded in 1978, NCDF has been providing access to capital and other resources to consumer, worker, housing and agricultural cooperatives across eleven states of the upper Midwest.
Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) is a non-profit whose mission is to sponsor research related to organic farming practices, to disseminate research results to organic farmers and to growers interested in adopting organic production systems, and to educate the public and decision-makers about organic farming issues.OFRF was founded in 1990 with a Board of Directors composed of organic farmers, researchers and activists from around the nation. The Organic Farming Research Foundation is the only organization supporting organic farming grant-making research and advocacy in the nation.
Organic Trade Association (OTA) is a membership-based business association for the organic industry in North America. OTA's mission is to encourage global sustainability through promoting and protecting the growth of diverse organic trade. OTA draws together all segments of the organic industry to share information, create standards of excellence and promote organic products.
Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) is a non-profit, educational organization that began in 1985 and now has over 700 members in Iowa and neighboring states. Their mission is to research, develop and promote profitable, ecologically sound and community-enhancing approaches to agriculture. They carry out diverse programs to assist farmers with both production and marketing needs, to raise public awareness of where food comes from and how it is grown, and to educate youth about agriculture and the environment.
Seed Savers Exchange (SSE) is a nonprofit organization that saves dedicated to saving the world’s diverse, but endangered, garden heritage for future generations by building a network of people committed to collecting, conserving and sharing heirloom seeds and plants, while educating people about the value of genetic and cultural diversity. Heritage Farm, SSE’s scenic 890-acre headquarters near Decorah, Iowa, is a living museum of historic varieties.
The Ecological Farming Association (EFA) is a non-profit educational organization founded in 1981 to promote an agricultural system that is ecologically sound, economically viable and socially just. EFA is dedicated to the development of ecologically-based food systems, both domestically and throughout the world by informing farmers, educating consumers and policy makers and promoting alliances between individuals and organizations.
The Organic Center for Education & Promotion (The Center) has as its mission to communicate credible, science-based organic benefits to the public, resulting in greater awareness and use of organic products, the conversion of agriculture to organic methods, and improved health for the Earth and its inhabitants.The Center was established by the Organic Trade Association(OTA) in Spring 2002 and is affiliated with, but independent of, OTA. The Center believes that although the benefits of organic agriculture to environmental health (soil, water, air, and biodiversity) have been studied and documented, there is still a gap in science-based knowledge about the benefits of organic agriculture and organically grown products to human health. The Center compiles existing research findings and commissions new research in these areas, and disseminates those findings to the public.
United Plant Savers has a mission to protect native medicinal plants of the United States and Canada and their native habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of medicinal plants for generations to come. UPS works to research, educate and protect the interests of our plants and their habitats.
