The tree that produces palo santo is a wild-growing small tree that is considered at-risk. Harvesting palo santo essential oil from the tree bark isn't sustainable, so Aura Cacia has partnered with a supplier that is able to sustainably distill the oil from the fruit without damaging the trees.
