We have done so by putting into place comprehensive sourcing programs, quality standards and state of the art processing capabilities to ensure we can deliver on that commitment. Frontier logs over 500,000 miles a year to personally visit our farmers around the globe to ensure their commitment to food safety, quality and sustainability. Quality at the source is critical and includes everything from storage to handling to processing – all focused on delivering the cleanest possible product to Frontier.
We have an excellent rating on our SQF (Safe Quality Food) audit, a Global Food Safety Initiative standard, ensuring that we follow the strictest quality, food safety and sanitation rules throughout all of our processes.
A key safeguard of product safety is pasteurization to eliminate pathogens such as Salmonella. We employ two state-of-the-art steam pasteurization units that allow us to offer safe spices to our customers and meet all food safety standards without using irradiation or ethylene oxide (ETO).
