How to use essential oils with kids
Kids are especially wired to engage with and learn about the world through their senses. Children are constantly drawn to new experiences of color, movement, shape, touch and even scents. Essential oils are the exciting scents of nature and are a great way to explore the sense of smell with kids.

To learn about essential oils in a fun way, play "guess the scent". Select 3 to 5 very different essential oils such as tangerine, rose, lavender and vanilla. Identify each scent with the kids then mix them up and see if they can remember which one is which.
To make a simple DIY fragrant bookmark. Cut out colorful strips of cotton fiber based card stock. attach a ribbon or colorful string and apply several drops of oil to the decorated bookmark.
To make a simple DIY scented bubble bath, combine 3 tablespoons water, 2 tablespoons unscented liquid Castile soap, 2 tablespoons vegetable glycerin and 48 drops kid-friendly essential oil such as grapefruit, lavender, tangerine or geranium.
