Why you should make homemade facial cleansers and moisturizers

Try Quick Tips

To cleanse your face, switch out chemically complex (and pricey) washes with a gentle DIY cleanser made with 2 fluid ounces liquid Castile soap and 12 drops essential oil.

For balancing benefits, switch out alcohol-based astringents and toners with a gentle face mist made of 2 fluid ounces water and 12 drops essential oil.

To moisturize, switch out lotions and creams containing chemicals and artificial ingredients with a lighter application of a bontanical-based skin care oil, such as argan or rosehip oil

For exfoliating benefits, switch out chemical peels and dermal brushing for a gentle DIY sugar scrub made with 1/3 cup granulated sugar, 4 tablespoons sweet almond oil and 44 drops essential oil.
