Forever known as the flower of romance, rose essential oil is well loved for its rich, floral aroma. It has wonderful skincare benefits, and is commonly used for its ability to help tone down signs of aging. Rose is often leaned on to provide strong emotional support during times of need. It can make beautiful sweet and floral diffusions when combined with oils such as jasmine, lavender, bergamot and vanilla.

ROSE ABSOLUTE VS ROSE OTTO.

Aura Cacia carries two versions of rose- rose absolute and rose otto. Rose absolute essential oil is extracted from the petals through solvent extraction, while rose otto is extracted through steam distillation. Due to the delicate nature of rose petals, they can become damaged during the steam distillation process, which means that solvent extraction yields a larger amount of essential oil- you'll see this in the price comparison alone!

WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Rose essential oil comes from the petals of the flower, Rosa damascena. Aura Cacia Rose Essential Oil is grown in the "Valley of the Roses" in Bulgaria. The delicate flowers are hand harvested in a centuries old tradition, then either steam distilled or solvent extraction to yield the essential oil.
