Vetiver Essential Oil Vetiver Essential Oil

Meet Vetiver

MEET VETIVER!

With a strong, earthy aroma, vetiver Vetiveria zizanioides essential oil is well known for its calming and grounding effects. Like patchouli, vetiver is an oil that gets better with time, both its aroma and benefits. Store it in a cool, dark place for optimal results.

WHAT DOES VETIVER LOOK LIKE?

Vetiver essential oil is steam distilled from the roots of Vetiveria zizanioides, which grows as grasses that can get to over 5 feet tall. Once distilled, vetiver essential oil is thick, similar almost to syrup. Due to its high viscosity, it comes out of the bottle very slowly.

WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Aura Cacia Vetiver is predominantly grown and processed in Haiti and Madagascar. It is sustainably produced – the roots are continually split and replanted. Sugar cane byproduct residues are burned to produce heat for the steam distillation process.

HOW DO I USE IT?

Vetiver is well loved for its ability to ground and calm. It's popular with children that need additional grounding assistance, especially during quiet time or before bed. Its earthy aroma makes it a popular choice for men's diffusions and recipes.

YOU KNOW, WE MAKE A GREAT PAIR.
