Nouvelle Orleans Red Beans and Rice

Ingredients
1 cup soaked red kidney beans
6 cups water
1 cup medium grain brown rice
1 tablespoon Frontier Cajun Seasoning
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons thyme
2 teaspoons rubbed sage leaf
1 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
Directions
Combine beans and water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add brown rice, cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in Cajun Seasoning, pepper, oil, thyme, sage and salt, if desired. Cook for 20 minutes longer, or until beans are soft and flavors are throughly blended.
