Botanical Description: An resinous, evergreen shrub with short needles or leaves and typically blue flowers, although white and pink flowered cultivars exist.
Method of Extraction: Steam distillation of the leaves and stems.
Aroma Profile: The top note of Rosemary is a short-lived, fresh aroma. The middle note is strong, fresh, woody and herbaceous. The dry out note is highly diffusive and camphoraceous.
Major Constituents: Pinene, Camphene, Cineol, Camphor, Borneol, Sesquiterpenes
Common Adulterants: Eucalyptus oil, cineole fraction.
