Origin: Native to the south west China-Burma borders. Now extensively cultivated in the USA (California, Florida and also in the Mediterranean, especially France, Italy, Spain. The expressed oil mainly produced in the USA, Israel, Cyprus, Brazil.
Botanical Description: A medium-sized, dense tree about 8 to 15-meters (30 to 60ft) high with glossy dark green leaves and the golden fruit carried singly or in bunches.The flowers are white and fragrant. The fruit's ovoid or ellipsoid.
Method of Extraction: Essential oil is obtained by cold expression of the peels (pericarp) of fruits. The oil is orange-yellow, dark orange or olive-orange or occasionally brownish orange mobile liquid. Yield 0.5%.
Aroma Profile: Sweet Orange has a refreshing and sweet citrus top note. The middle note is sweet, fresh, and fruity. The dry out note is a powdery sweet, dry, citrus aroma.
