Origin: Native to the Mediterranean region, now a widely cultivated herb.
Botanical Description: A low growing shrubby herbaceous perennial with blue flowers.
Method of Extraction: Steam distillation of the flowering tops and leaves.
Aroma Profile: Hyssop has a strong, sweet and camphoraceous top note. The middle note is warm, aromatic and spicy. The dry out note is sweet, dry and herbaceous.
Major Constituents: Pinocamphone, Isopinocamphone, estragole, borneol, geraniol, limonene, thujone, myrcene, cayophyllene.
