Origin: France, specifically the island of Corsica
Botanical Description: It is an herbaceous plant up to 3 feet in height with grayish colored leaves and small yellow flowers.
Method of Extraction: The oil is steam distilled with a very low oil content.
Aroma Profile: The top note of Helichrysum is sweet, rich and honey-like. The middle note is sweet, fruity and tea-like, and the dry out note is sweet and tenacious.
Major Constituents: Neryl acetate, linalool, limonene, italicene, a-pinene, a-curcumene, b-caryophyllene
Common Adulterants: There are many species as well as varieties, and the more common and less expensive varieties are often sold. The variety with the highest neryl acetate level is serotinum from Corsica, and it is the ideal type for using on damaged skin.

Blends Well With: Rosehip seed carrier oil, lavender and German chamomile
Safety Data: Considered non toxic and non sensitizing. It should always be used heavily diluted.
