Why a bath is good for you

In addition to allowing you to get clean and relax, bathing is often an overlooked opportunity to immerse yourself in some good-for-you-all-over body and skin care. Essential oils and a few natural ingredients have the potential to turn bathing into an experience that supports you in health and beauty -- and who doesn't need to take the time to encourage more of those things? The benefits of bathing are threefold:

1. A bath will get you clean (just as clean as a shower if you do it right) and leave a lovely aroma on your skin when you use essential oils. After you're done, just stand up and give yourself a quick rinse with the shower head.

2. A bath will make you look good. The warm waters of the bath, and the suspended oils, minerals and botanicals that you add to them, create an environment where the benefits of all of these ingredients are in sustained contact with your skin...something you cannot achieve in the shower.

3. A bath will make you feel good. There's certainly emotional, mood-improving benefits to be realized from lying back in a warm tub of aromatic, relaxing bath water.
