HAIR TREATMENT
An aromatherapy scalp massage does more than just condition your hair — it also provides a wonderfully relaxing experience. After shampooing, towel dry hair, then massage oil into your scalp and work into your hair from roots to ends. Wrap with a hot towel for 20 minutes, then shampoo.
Hair treatment basics:
Mix 2 tablespoons of warmed base oil (sweet almond, avocado or jojoba) with 5 drops of essential oil. After shampooing, rinse hair with vinegar for extra softness and shine.
For dry hair: 3 drops sandalwood, 2 drops geranium
For oily hair: 2 drops eucalyptus, 3 drops rosemary
For normal hair: 3 drops lavender, 2 drops geranium

LAVENDER
If you were trapped on a desert isle and could take only one essential oil with you, lavender would be a very wise choice. The scent is emotionally reassuring and calming while the gentle actions of its constituents are antimicrobial and soothing...just the ticket for a home-remedy first aid kit. The sweet herbal aroma of lavender promotes calm and rest. Mix a few drops in your palm with a dollop of coconut oil for a skin moisturizer. Open the bottle and simply breathe in the aroma when confronting any stressful situation.
Soothing & Protecting Lavender Spa Bath
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon Epsom salt
1 tablespoon ground oatmeal
27 drops lavender essential oil
Restful Pillow & Linen Spritz
4 ounces bottled or distilled water
18 drops lavender essential oil
Small spray bottle or atomizer
Place ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake vigorously before misting linens.
